Images from our June
Hello, dear readers.
Things have slowed way down for me in the past two weeks. I am filling my time, for sure, but it has been wonderful to have full days open with absolutely nowhere to be.
I'm hoping to fill some of this newfound time with blogging, but tonight I'm feeling pretty tired, so I'll just share a few pictures of what we have been up to. Hopefully back soon with more :)
Sunday (June 2) was a busy busy day. We spent the morning getting our house sparkling clean for an open house, and then I got myself cleaned up, pretty and concert-ready while M packed everyone up in the car and we headed out to lunch and then my Labyrinth Choir concert.
It was such a fun afternoon for me-- having the whole family there for the concert made it so enjoyable to perform! My Mom and Dad came too, which was so great! It really was a great program, too-- music from around the world with photography slides in the background.
After that it was home for M and the girls and off to my regular Sunday night singing gig for me. M texted me as he was putting C to bed, because she was upset and missing me, and asked if I would send a selfie of me smiling at her. So I sent the above. C has been a little weepy lately... I think the fast pace of end-of-school-year has gotten to her. We're definitely all ready to just be on break for a while.
Since then, J and I have been enjoying a lot of outings that we weren't as free to do when I was teaching a lot during the week. Things like the beach...
It was barely 65 degrees and quite windy on this day and I was shivering sitting in my chair with three layers on. But guess who got all the way in the water?? This girl.
I had to drag her, shivering and purple-lipped, to the car when it was time to go. Beach is definitely her happy place. Looking forward to more (warmer) days like these to come.
Splash park after big girl pickup!
We ran into some good friends. The best. Aren't they all looking so lanky and grown up???
Lunch at Market Basket Cafe with all our favorite foods, while our realtor was showing the house one day. We musn't repeat this too often, as the donuts are only 50 cents and the coffee is $.99. Wayyyyy too tempting.
Flips galore at the mall play-place:
...and a beautiful outing with Grandma and Grandpa to see the antique cars at Sturbridge Village last Saturday (June 8).
That's all for today! More coming tomorrow...
