Good morning and happy long weekend! Join me for some breakfast. With my coffee this morning I'm enjoying Just Egg on a kaiser roll (leftover from last night's dinner in which I procured sandwich supplies from the grocery store since it was wayyyyyy too hot to cook), and a generous handful of cherries. This photo is a pretty good still life of our world these days-- a book because I'm trying to enter the day in a relaxed, "me-time" fashion on a holdiay weekend when I'm up at 6 and none of the kids are awake yet. But there's still a lot of stuff to do, hence my spiral notebook of to-do lists and pen. The lingering cold/cough that has slowly made its way through each of our family members in the last two weeks is represented by the box of tissues (there's one in the foreground and one in the background, if you look carefully). My leg extending into a slightly soiled sneaker represents the fact that I've just been out to water the garden before...
