Weekending and Meal Plan
Hi all! Just checking in to quickly put up our meal plan and some pictures from the weekend. We had sort of a 3-day weekend because of a snow day Friday. We still did homeschool of course but M worked from home and all of our activities were cancelled. It was quite relaxing and productive! It's looking like more snow tomorrow so perhaps it will turn into a 4-day weekend!
Here's a few pics of what we did!
This is how I get supper cooked on fussy evenings! This girl loves herself a snuggle (and a chew on the straps of the Ergo).
Little C carefully chose one of her Avengers Valentines to give to me. The rest will go to her preschool classmates. Love that girl.
What's not to love, right?
KALE CHIPS. NOM NOM.
I'm so happy that our supermarket now sells organic kale that is already de-stemmed and chopped. Just toss it on a pan with some olive oil, bake at 350 for 15ish minutes, sprinkle with salt and garlic powder. Couldn't be easier. And my girls eat these like candy.
I didn't even get a picture of the finished chips before they were gone.
This poor child has been fighting a yeast infection rash on her neck! Yes, it's a thing! She is just so drooly that we can't keep her neck dry, and her little double chin doesn't help matters. We gave her lots of air-out time with shirts and onesies pulled down over the weekend, and it really seemed to help. Plus the doctor gave us a cream for it. She is still smiling, brave girl.
M let me have a quiet afternoon outside shoveling while he stayed in with the girls. After such a snowy winter last year, and me being pregnant and unable to help, it felt really good to get out there and do it all myself and repay M for all of his labors. Plus it was a great workout!!
Here's the girls watching Daddy play Zelda after a lonnnnggg afternoon of sledding in the backyard. They have had so much fun with our first big snowfall! (That's L trying to keep J facing away from the screen!)
Finally, here's our meal plan:
breakfasts:
cereal or stove-top oatmeal
lunches:
quesadillas for kids
noodle soup
apple pb sandwiches
Shaklee shakes for Mama!
snacks:
chia pudding
crackers and hummus
carrots and cukes
trail mix
fresh fruit
suppers:
broccoli soup and sweet potato biscuits
baked lemon chicken with broccoli and potatoes
homemade clam chowder
pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday at church
black bean salad over spicy baked fish with tortilla chips
We had this one tonight; it was goooooooooooood
Linking up with Laura! Enjoy the week everyone!

These girls always put a smile on my face. Can you feed them something so they don't grow so fast?
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're still blogging! :) Love to read the updates.
ReplyDeletePS - C's dress looks like it may be a re-used flower girl's dress? =P
