First Snowfall of the Winter (& Meal Plan)
We had about an inch around Thanksgiving, and it all melted away before we could go sledding.
So today, when she woke up and saw snow on the ground outside, L was determined to get out as soon as possible, despite the steady drizzle of rain and the general wet raw yucky sloppiness outside. She wasn't going to have yet another snowfall melt before she could get a run down the hill (especially because snow seems to be making itself scarce this winter... not that those of us who need to shovel are complaining much about that).
As you can see, the crusty icy snow actually gave us quite a nice bobsled run in the backyard. L said, "I just kept going and going and going!"
It was a great morning of outdoor play. We had the "day off" from church today since the choir is on break after a busy Christmas season.
Sunday Breakfast: millet quinoa waffles
Sunday Lunch: smoothies and apples with peanut butter

All the water droplets half-frozen on the trees were so pretty.
C surprised me by staying out over an hour. Last winter she was the one who would always get cold after 10 minutes outside and start crying and want to go in, but that extra year of big girl really seems to be helping her stamina! It was also veeerrrrrry cold last winter, and the general trend this year seems to be a bit on the warmer side, so that helps. Less snow, perhaps, but more fresh air for my girls. I'll take it.
Hope you all enjoyed some snow this weekend, if you got it! Here's the meal plan for the week...

Aww, fun! We just got about the same amount of snow today. It's amazing how much fun they have when it's the first snowfall, even if it is just barely an inch!
