Our Christmas Eve

A leisurely morning spent lingering over coffee and good conversation with my husband while the girls played legos

A furious wrapping extravaganza while M held the girls at bay down in the playroom

Cozy rest time reading and a run on the treadmill for Mama (it's cold, raw and rainy here... anybody else having a white Christmas?)

a snacky smorgasbord with friends

early Christmas presents from Auntie Bethie

I love the tongues of concentration.

Notes, cookies and milk for Santa, and a frosting-covered carrot for Rudolf.

N's note read "Please leave a picture of Rudolf." (She wants photographic proof.)

L's note read "Dear Santa, DON'T come down the chimney."  (L is extremely concerned that the only  chimney on our roof leads straight into the furnace.  We tried to reassure her that Santa made it in last year without being burned, so he can probably do it again.)

And Mama and Papa have just settled down for a long winter's nap.

Happy Christmas, all!
