Meal Plan and Fall Foliage
Happy Columbus Day everyone! I hope you're enjoying some relaxing time off today. We are back home from CT after a wonderful race weekend and time with my folks.
We interrupt all this talk about running and racing for a meal plan.
I'm working on writing the race recap, but there are other things to do... like, you know, laundry. And grocery shopping. So I had to make a meal plan. Race recap should be published sometime this week. Here's the plan!
Monday Breakfast: Daddy makes waffles
Monday Lunch: Scrambled eggs and fruit; salads for grown-ups
Monday Supper: leftover Chinese/fish tacos
Tuesday Breakfast: Various breakfast leftovers-- steel cut oats, quinoa porridge, waffles
Tuesday Lunch: lunch bunch for L... cheese quesadillas & homemade applesauce; green salad for grown-ups
Tuesday Supper: homemade pizza on soaked crust
Wednesday Breakfast: protein pancakes
Wednesday Lunch: field trip to the USS Constitution... packed sandwiches on soaked bread and smoothies
Wednesday Supper: shaggy dogs, sweet potato fries
Thursday Breakfast: leftover protein pancakes
Thursday Lunch: homeschool/preschool activities: packed lunch (probably quesadillas again) for kiddos, green salad for grown-ups
Thursday Supper: leftovers
Friday Breakfast: popovers
Friday Lunch: Fruit and yogurt dip, veggies and hummus
Friday Supper: leftover macaroni noodles and spaghetti sauce
Saturday Breakfast: poached eggs
Saturday Lunch & Supper: various leftovers from the week
Yesterday, we slept off our race weariness in the morning, the girls played outside and drew chalk on Grandma & Grandpa's driveway, we played the Star Wars game of Life, then had lunch. On our way home we attended Harold and the Purple Crayon at UConn and the girls loved it (thanks for the tickets Grandma)! It was just the perfect show for them. They are still talking about it.
We drove back to MA and stopped for some Chinese on our way, and then drove by Old Stone Church, and it was so pretty there the girls begged us to stop.

When we got home, we had a slipper party to warm up.
Perfect end to a great weekend.
