Dress Like an Animal Day

It was "dress like an animal" day at preschool today.  I brought up two options from the dress up box for L this morning before we departed for school... our kitty cat costume and the lobster costume that she sported on her very first (sleepy) Halloween ever.  She chose the lobster:

It's MUCH smaller than it used to be on her, but it still works!

(It always amazes me how much a child can grow in three short years.  I think I read somewhere once that if a person's growth rate from his first year continued at that pace for the rest of his life, he would end up being 400 feet tall by the time he died, or something.)

Her teachers practically melted when we walked in the door. :)

C, of course, had to participate in the fun, and so she quickly donned the kitty cat.

Sorry for the bad lighting, but it really struck me how identical this picture is to the first picture of 2-year-old N in the Halloween post I linked to above.  Even the way she stands is almost exactly the same as her sister at that age.  (That kitty costume has really made the rounds of all three girls on different Halloweens!  We got it for free as a hand-me-down... I think we've gotten our money's worth!)

You're getting a preview here of our new living room setup too.  Hopefully I'll get a post put together about our re-do for that room... maybe tomorrow!
