First Day II

First day of preschool for L today!

She was up at 6:00, and asked pretty much every five minutes from 6:00 until 9:00, "Is it time to go to preschool yet?"

She was beyond excited.

C photo-bombed every picture I took of the "school girls" inside the house!

L chose this outfit for herself and was dressed by 6:30.  So when the bus came at 8:20, she assumed it was time to go to preschool!

When we came back inside and had to wait a few minutes before it was time to drive to preschool, she sat down and burst into tears.  She had been waiting so long and it still wasn't time!

But then finally... it was time!!

Found her coat hook!

She went straight to work playing sensory table and puzzles.

She found a book in the loft...

...but then she climbed right down when she saw her teacher and gave her a big hug!

(This school has been beyond amazing about welcoming both children and parents, and her teachers are experienced, warm, and loving.  I have so much more to say about what a wonderful experience we've had at L's school.  Hopefully another day!)

When it was time for Mommy and Daddy to leave, L had a brief moment of saying, "I don't want you to go," but when I reassured her that her teachers would take good care of her, it was "Bye Mama!"

I'm a pretty lucky Mama to have had two girls make the transition to school so beautifully.
