Funny things that have been said
N's funny things:
On our way to dance class the other day, we passed one of those junky houses... you know the type. N remarked, "They must be having a yard sale. Isn't that what it's called when you put your inside things outside?"
The other morning when I went into the girls' room to get L out of her crib, N was lying awake in her bed. She said, "I told L to lay down in her bed, and I used a mad voice, like you Mama." (Ooops! I guess I should pay more attention to how often I use my "mad" voice!)
L's funny things:
We checked a book out from the library called A Pirate's Guide to First Grade, and L absolutely loved it. The other night, we were driving somewhere around bedtime and she was falling asleep. I guess we were being too noisy, because L protested, "SHH! I'm trying to get me winks!" (a quote from the book)
L is becoming increasingly aware of her potty functions, and has asked to use the potty a few times. Grandma put L on the potty the other day, and as N and I walked in the door from preschool pickup, we were greeted by the sound of L shouting "I need my privacy! I need my privacy!!" from the bathroom. (This is a direct imitation of her sister!)
Yesterday morning I laid L down to change her diaper, and she had a little toot. She quickly remarked, "Oops, that was a bumblebee."
C's funny things:
Last night as L was serenading us with her favorites (Twinkle Twinkle, ABCs, and Baa Baa Black Sheep) C was cooing along, almost on pitch! Just about the cutest thing ever! I'm not sure if she was really trying to sing or if it was just a coincidence. If it happens again I'll try to get it on video.
These girls sure do keep us chuckling!
