Beautiful Babies
Last weekend while we were all at my parents' house, my sister captured these beautiful, frame-worthy images of the girls:
On Monday I had an appointment scheduled for an Early Risk Assessment, in which doctors evaluated our baby's potential for being born with Down Syndrome or other chromosomal defects. They do this through a series of tests, one of which was an ultrasound. So, although the test was a bit nerve-wracking, we did get another peek at the baby, which is always fun. M and I agreed that Baby 3 looks a lot like N, at least when comparing facial profiles.
The doctor was nice enough to "unofficially" assure us that everything looked normal on the ultrasound. He, in fact, commented that we had a "beautiful baby."
As I was driving home, I got to thinking about how blessed we are to have two (and probably 3) children who are healthy and strong. Not every parent is so fortunate. It is certainly humbling. I'm feeling pretty thankful that God has blessed us with such "beautiful babies."
