The Potty Report
Potty training has been something I've been sort of afraid of for a while. We've had a couple of different unsuccessful tries at it. Given N's tendency to frustrate easily, as well as being in the do-it-my-own-way 2-year old phase, I sort of expected that this was something that would not come easily for us.
Lately she has seemed to be really growing up in a lot of areas, so I thought we'd give it another go this week.
After four days of diaper-free mornings, we seem to have made a lot of progress. Today we have had zero accidents and two pees in the potty.
I've been a little nervous to move too far away from N when she doesn't have a diaper on, because we haven't been having much warning before the pee happens. I usually have to pick her up and scurry to the potty with her so she'll get there in time. So this afternoon I was upstairs putting L down for a nap, and I hear an excited voice from downstairs... "I did it Mama!!!" Sure enough, when I came downstairs there was a pee in the potty! And I didn't even have to ask her to do it!! N was so cute-- she said, "I had a yellow poop, Mama!!!"
So, after only four days, she has managed to learn to get to the potty by herself.
I'm thrilled!! I'll keep you posted on how things continue.
