All I can manage
M is having a "guys' night" tonight, and I had high hopes of updating the blog with lots of new videos and stories. However, N has come down with the stomach flu for the second time this winter, and so all I can manage tonight is one video edited and uploaded.
(Side note: N has been remarkably cheerful when she's not doubling over in stomach pain. She's still not quite old enough to understand what's really happening to her, so she often clings to me while she's throwing up. Sorry if that's gross to you, but I learned quickly when she got her first stomach flu at the age of 18 months that trying to get her to aim for something is pointless. "Let it rain down on me" is my motto. And it really doesn't gross me out at all anymore. It just makes me sad for her. Anyway... tonight after she finished coating my hair, shoulder and pants, she looked at me without a thought for herself and said, "Mama, I spit on your pants. That's too bad." I told her I could wash my pants, and then said I was sorry she was sick. She replied, "Oh... that's okay." Not 10 minutes after this happened, she was climbing up in her booster seat, saying, "I'm ready for my supper!" Needless to say I limited that supper to Saltines and water.)
Anyway, here's the video I managed to edit: L eating Cheerios. It was taken over a month ago, so it's pretty outdated. She will now eat anything we give her. This girl has never met a food she didn't like. She's pretty much a vacuum.
But, though outdated, it's still pretty cute... so here ya go.
9 months is certainly an explosion of new skills and emerging personality. I hope I have time to write it all down soon so that I don't forget things. There's literally something new every day. She's a completely different girl now that she was in the video above, just one short month later.
But for now, I'm going to watch a little brainless TV and then go to Bedfordshire. Good night, all.
