Hello
I find myself with a few moments here while I wait for N and L are doing dance and gymnastics, respectively. I have very few brain cells after a long work day, but I'm here to share what I can.
We have had a few good snows-- and two snow days-- to enjoy.
And some verrrrry cold mornings. I took this pic on my way out the door to work one frigid Monday morning. -8! I don't think I had ever actually seen a negative temperature on my dashboard thermometer before.
We had a Friday snow day and so it was a big breakfast and Boba Fett. The best!
The snuggly ones...
"Our Room Rules" (made by J):
1. Knock on the door once if there's an emergency.
2. Knock twice if you need to talk to someone in this room.
3. Knock three times if there's a fire!
THANK YOU!!!!!
A fun music mask bathroom selfie at work. If you can't read backwards, it says "Shostacovid" :)
Snuggles.
Black bean soup... so yummy and comforting on a cold night.
Dance team ladies ready for the start of competition season!
A Sunday morning Valentines-writing party in PJs.
Valentine's cupcakes. J was my helper.
New 'do for Mama.
M and I did something scandalous and took a personal day together on Tuesday of this week, to celebrate Valentine's Day. While the kids were at school we had a big breakfast, laid around and watched TV, and then went to the salon where I got a haircut and highlights, and M got a massage. Best day ever. I think we may make it a yearly tradition.
Time is flying and our girls are getting so big. I just saw a Mama pulling her 1-year-old out of the car seat and carrying her into the gym, and I remember rejoicing on the day that my babies no longer needed to be carried in and could walk on their own as I was carting everyone and all their stuff around to all the activities. But getting a letter from the high school guidance department about registering N for classes next year makes me especially wistful for those baby days tonight.
With that I will leave you, my friends-- L has asked me to go in and watch her floor routine-- and tonight I'm feeling grateful that she's still little enough to say, "Watch me, Mama!!"
That's about all the bandwidth I have! Love to you all!
