Well hey there

Hi, long lost blog readers.  Obviously it was a busy month!  It's been a bit since I have let over a month go by with nary a post.

We are coming off a lovely visit with family this past week-- my brother and sister-in-law came to visit with wee baby A and my sister-in-law's Abuelita from Colombia.

So much fun was had playing with our little cousin and just showing our guests around our rural new hometown.  They accompanied us on a lot of the girls' scheduled activities and then spent the rest of their time just playing the day away.  It was pretty blissful to catch up with them and spend time with little A.

One trip we made to a local brewery/tap room/farm/playground that we had been to before but I had sort of forgotten about.  There was beautiful outdoor dining, beer flights, live music, a playground for the kids, an ice cream window... just a really great place!  We will be back!

This week we got a new-to-us baby grand piano on Facebook Marketplace, for free!  I just had to pay a piano mover to move it.  It has been the greatest gift to all of us... lots of practicing and noodling going on!

Today has been a very slow roll of sleeping in after all of our festivities, doing laundry and tidying, making a new meal plan, watching some Olympics with my girls, and generally just looking back on the memories we made and feeling so grateful for our family.

I have a few half-begun posts in my drafts detailing some of the events of our July, so I'll probably retroactively post them soon so I can catch you all up.  These next few weeks should be a little less crazy as we settle down and prepare for back-to-school.  Hoping to spend time with you here again soon, my friends!  Be well!
