Quarantine, Days 7-11

I'm weary tonight... I find I'm ready for pjs a lot of nights during our quarantine time around 6 PM.  I think it's mostly the mental load of juggling homeschooling and working from home, but it's also the weight of the bad news in the world right now.  We are mostly staying really positive, and keeping busy with lots of exciting, beautiful, happy things.  I'll just share some pics of those things tonight.

On Saturday... a sun-drenched, chilly late afternoon walk around a beaver pond nearby... followed by this gigantic plate of nachos for dinner.

Sorting/folding the week's worth of laundry with my love on a Sunday morning, several cups of coffee, and Captian... Jean-Luc Picard of the U.S.S... Enterprise:

The girls played Barbies downstairs for several hours so we were able to binge a few episodes while we did our laundry project.

Oh, and I got to run with a running friend Sunday morning right before this, so it was a perfect way to relax after about 9 miles!

We enjoyed the beaver pond so much that we went again the next day.

We had a late spring snowstorm the next day!

The girls were out for hours.  We didn't really get much snow this winter so they're still very into it.

This little elf put her pjs on to warm up after coming inside, and watch Mary Poppins with me on my laptop while the bigger girls were watching Avengers (too scary).

Wonderful supper after a long run... Veggies.  Soba Noodles.  Generous peanut sauce.

Eating snow for breakfast the next day (I kid you not, they were out by 8 AM):

Then jumped right in to homeschool!

So many cool projects so far this week:

I love my little enthusiastic learners.  <3

Another chat with my whole family, checking in and making sure everyone's healthy and happy.  So far, so good.  And selfies taken by little girls during said family chat.  This sneaky one not only stole my phone out of my pocket to take a selfie, she also snuck into my room and stole some gum from my purse while the chat was going on.  Beware the fourth child.  But we love her.

Doing our schoolwork today in fancy clothes, with a ballerina bun, blush AND lipstick.

Proud to say that I managed to make not one, but TWO kale salads for myself for lunch this week.  Trying to prioritize the self care.

That's it for now.  Tomorrow I will begin my 3-part story that I've been working on a while about our family journey through eczema and allergies.  Not exactly light reading, but if you want something other than the bad news of the world, feel free to stop on by.

Sending love to all my readers!!!
