Week in Pics and Meal Plan
Good Monday morning, everyone! I have lots of pictures to share from a fun-filled week, so I'm going to do a week in pictures quickly along with our meal plan. Enjoy!
Last Friday, playing Harry Potter math game with tea and cupcakes
My spaghetti helper
We met some friends on a trip to TJ Maxx
Snow day last Tuesday!
We got about 14 inches and this snow bunny was the only one to brave the wind and help Daddy shovel.
We had our St. Patty's Day corned beef on that Tuesday (a little early) since we were home all day and I had time to make it :)
Fuzzy, poorly-lit pics from homeschool skate last Thursday!
Dance class on Friday... C's happy place.
Friday was one of the busiest days ever-- straight from dance to the food pantry to drop off our Girl Scout Cookie donation, lunch on the road, then to the Girl Scout meeting (I took J and C to the library while we waited)
then home for 5 minutes for L to change, I dropped L off at gymnastics practice then hurried off to teach a couple of violin lessons, Daddy picked up L with the other girls and finally we all converged at the preschool spaghetti supper.
J, as you can tell by her expression, was running a fever by that point and sort of crashing and burning, but I managed to eat my spaghetti and not spill any on her head while she snuggled me. So nice not to have to cook after a day like that!
"Leprechaun obstacle course leading to a pot of gold"
"You might get trapped; please sign your safety form. You will be let go next Leprechaun's Day. Please sign here."
"Gold Mountain"
This overly elaborate Leprechaun trap happened because the "Leprechaun" was three days late coming, and so the trap got more and more complicated each night to "lure" him. He finally came on the 19th. We think he was maybe trapped in someone else's house. Or perhaps he just had trouble getting to the store to buy leprechaun candies because of his busy schedule. Ahem.
L had an AMAZING time at her gymnastics meet yesterday. It made my heart so happy because she has been really self-critical about her gymnastics skills lately. 1st place (!!!) on beam, 2nd on floor, and 3rd on bars. 2nd place all-around gymnast for the whole meet!!!! She also broke into the 9's with her scores for the first time ever-- 9.2 on beam and 9.3 on bars. She looked fantastic out there. She has been working so hard and I was just so proud that her hard work was rewarded on that day.
They also played a BINGO game at the meet and all the girls got to play... guess who had her number drawn at exactly the right moment so she won this gigantic stuffed teddy bear???
She truly had the luck of the Leprechauns with her :) plus a lot of momentum from all of her good practicing!
And that was our awesome week! How was yours?
