Popcorn on the Porch Meal Plan

Well, now that I'm getting around to posting our meal plan (which I wrote out on Friday night followed by food shopping on Saturday) we have already gotten halfway through all of the meals that I had planned for this week.  Thanks to a few bottomless pits who must be going through growth spurts or something, leftovers seem to be a rare thing in our household these days, and food that would normally last us a week is quickly disappearing.  I'm going to have to get a little creative, or else do a mid-week shopping trip.  Is this a bit of a preview of what it will be like feeding four teenagers?  I'm happy to say they are mostly choosing healthy options-- the other night L had three large helpings of Caesar salad on top of her chicken and bread, for example, and the five large apples I sliced for snack this morning were gone inside of five minutes.  Half the watermelon I bought for the week has vanished, and C regularly eats three bowls of oatmeal (or more!) for breakfast.  This humongous bowl of stove-top popcorn I made this afternoon was gone within 15 minutes.

We had a nice quiet weekend... I went shopping (by myself) and running (by myself) and to the gardening store (with just N) while sipping a Starbucks.  Ahhhhhhhhh.  Thanks to M for all the alone time.  That's nice for a homeschooling Mama sometimes, isn't it?  I surely love my girls, but... well... quiet.  Yes.

As usual there is a lot more I could say but I will leave it there for now.  Here's the meal plan!
