Back from our travels
Hi all! We just returned from a whirlwind 4-day trip to Washington DC to see my three siblings and their significant others. M was going to be away for the weekend on a youth retreat and so I seized the opportunity and took my Momma down with me for a quick visit. We got a hotel room halfway between their two houses for a nice little getaway. It was fabulous!
We are all still pretty tired and recovering... the girls have slept in until 9 AM these past two mornings that we have been home! That is unprecedented! But wow, what a great time! I can't thank my Momma enough for helping me hold down the fort in M's absence and all my siblings for taking such great care of us all while we were there. We will remember this trip for a long time!
We were all very happy to return to our Daddy... he enjoyed his retreat, then finished our laundry and went grocery shopping so I returned to a well-stocked fridge!
(If you look reeeeeally closely in the above picture, you can see L in the bright blue shirt with Uncle Ben, near the top of the steps to the Lincoln Memorial! She was a trooper walking almost a mile from the metro station, and then up all of those steps!)
