...beautiful, healthy, kicking, squirming little girl.

Isn't she the cutest??

When we came home and gave the girls the news, L remarked, "See, I knew it was a girl, because Mommy's body only knows how to make girls."

I'm beginning to wonder if she's right.  ;}

We are all just beside ourselves with excitement-- we all knew we would be happy with either gender, and now that we know for sure, it just makes it that much more real that this little person is coming to join us all and add so much love to our family.

What a blessing it is in this age of technology, to see your little one on the screen so clearly, there amidst all of your body parts, so warm and snuggly and already exploring her world, so very close to the date of her creation.  To see her heart fluttering and her mouth opening and closing and her arms and legs and twenty fingers and toes, and to be told by everyone at the doctor's office that she's beautiful and her parts are all perfectly formed, and to witness that beauty with your own eyes, right beside your partner who helped create her... well, it's nothing less than miraculous.
