A successful trip to the dentist
The dentist has been a much dreaded experience for my younger two girls in the past.
Today was different... hooray!
Daddy had the day off and was able to come. He went in with N and C, and after witnessing N (who is a total pro) sitting through the "tickle toothbrush" with ease, C was just dying to have her turn.
I went in to a different room with L, and although she was teary at first, we had a *wonderful* hygienist this time who somehow convinced her to give the cleaning a try. We got through all the teeth, and L left with a smile on her face, saying, "Mom, I don't hate the dentist anymore!"
Not-hating is a big step up, in L's book.
A few pics:
N chilled out, watching her beloved TV shows while having her cleaning (the best part of the dentist, if you ask N!)
C asked to sit on Mommy's lap, but handled everything else expertly!
(She got a little treasure chest as a prize that was quite fascinating to her!)
We are sticking with our new hygienist pal so hopefully future trips to the dentist will be a little less traumatic for all!
