Chase the wind and touch the sky
The past few days have been really busy. Some things didn't go exactly as I had planned, and a lot of things took way longer than I thought they would. A few frustrations cropped up for me. There were some planning mishaps and urgent tasks that needed to get done but didn't. Nothing major, but... you know... just "one of those days" today.
So I'm very glad that today ended with this moment with my girls.
(I guess if I wanted to participate with SouleMama I could, but I've already used words so I can't. Oh well.)
A quick trip to the apple orchard after dinner, a frolic through the meadow and gazebo, all the time with the Brave soundtrack (the girls' latest favorite) that we had heard in the car on our way running through our heads:

...mountains are fierce and bold
deep waters hold reflections
of times lost long ago
I will hear their every story
take hold of my own dream
be as strong as the seas are stormy
and proud as an eagle's scream
I will ride, I will fly
chase the wind and touch the sky
I will fly
chase the wind and touch the sky
(Enjoy the music yourself here if you want!)
