Juuuuust a quick check-in!

It's been a busy and somewhat tiring weekend, as I've had a lot of work to do with my students, grading their work and giving them feedback as they start to prepare for the AP exam in a little more than a month.  It's so hard to get concentrated time during the week so this week a lot of it had to fall on the weekend.

A picture snapped during a moment spent with this little one.  I was feverishly grading but she decided not to nap, so... a little together time was a welcome break.
We've had a little cough going around our family too, so sleep has been off and on, and we've had a few slightly feverish girls in our bed at different times since Thursday night.

Not to mention that the sound of a few of our mouse traps snapping in the middle of the night sent my eyes flying wide open and made sleep a bit hard to come by for me last night.  Time to get a cat?

But it's all good-- the girls are wonderful and patient and roll with the punches while I need to be working, and they nap when they need to and get rested and we survive, quite well actually.  Life is sweet and the weekend was good.

Can anyone else believe that in two days it will be April?  As long and cold and sick as this winter has been, time is also flying.  I feel like the end of the school year is in sight and a time of transition and change and new beginnings will be upon us again before we know it.

M has had the girls a lot in the past two days, obviously.  I'll just throw up a few pics of the Easter egg hunt sponsored by our local high school that the girls attended on Saturday with Daddy, and had a blast.

Isn't that the greatest picture?  They're both growing and changing so much.

C, who is always the shy, timid member of the family, especially when it comes to giant people in animal costumes (Donnie Darko, anyone?) was totally fine with sitting on the Easter bunny's lap for a picture, while her big sisters cowered and clung to Daddy.  Go figure.  I was totally amazed when M told me about it afterwards and showed me the picture.

Love this shot of L, with C's head in the foreground.  I was glad to hear that all girls got at least one egg and didn't get trampled by all of the older kids.

A quick trip to the playground afterwards.  Almost all the snow is melted!

Here's hoping that your weekend was sweet and memorable.  Good night!
