#SnowDay2

Here we go again.

"Snow Freezing Fog".  That seems like an accurate description of what's going on outside my window right now, although I might use the words "white out wind" rather than "fog".

M worked from home, and both girls were home from school, so it's another nice easy quiet day, nothing like the beginning of this week.  Sort of welcome, I guess!

Poor M is pretty tired of shoveling.  I help when I can but it's rare that I'm without at least one child that needs watching.  You all know that I am normally wishing they would stay babies forever and not grow up too fast, but I think this is one area in which I'll be happy to have a few young, strong backs to help with this chore a couple of years down the road (not to mention that having kids who are older and more independent means I'm more free to help as well).

M just finished work and came up from the basement, and said to me, "I should go out and get started, but it's *terrible* out there.  If I went out now, I'd most likely be attacked by white walkers, and then *I* would be a white walker, and then I'd come back in and try to kill you.  So I'll wait until the wind dies down a bit."

I informed him that I had neither a flaming torch to throw at him nor a dragonglass dagger with which to stab him, and so of course he should wait until later to do the shoveling.

So for now, we're all cozying up.  I'm gonna make some cauliflower mac and cheese for supper here in a minute.  But before I do, here's a few pics from our morning:

Daddy made us spelt waffles for breakfast.  YUM.

I just think she's so beautiful, don't you??

Playing "beds" on the couch

Snowing and blowing outside (with the faint reflection of my iPhone).

Will it ever be spring???
