Here are all the SUPER exciting things that happened at our house today.
N finally got to make the tissue paper forsythia branch that she has been wanting to make since her June issue of
High Five arrived. (Again, love that magazine for a fun easy craft... remember when we
made telescopes?) Here she is furiously cutting tissue paper squares:
| Simply glue them on a tree branch you found in the backyard... |
| ...and voila! |
| Let your baby sister watch, of course. |
| The finished product!! (It was N's idea to pair the forsythia with the dead-leaf bouquet that she picked for me earlier in the day. I think it looks very rustic and artsy, don't you?) |
| C wore herself out with so much rolling around on the floor that she fell asleep, mid roll! |
| In this picture, I was trying to capture the adorable little wispy curlicue that is currently growing out of the top of her head... unfortunately, the picture doesn't do it justice. |
So, a grown-up big girl two-year-old who has recently learned to pedal a tricycle needs a new bike helmet to celebrate the occasion, of course. We made a quick trip to Target this morning and she picked out a princess helmet to match her princess trike. The coolest thing? The helmet came with a matching princess bell for her bike. And so we spent most of the day riding and ringing around the parking lot.
| See the new bell on the handlebar? |
| Luckily, Target sold individual bells so big sister could have one too. Our parking lot was alive with the sound of bike bells. |
I don't think it gets much more exciting than that on a summer day!
Such big girls!!! And N is quite the artist! :)
