Looking back on Christmas

Just to give you a taste of how the Christmas holiday went down at our house, I'll post a few quick pictures.

The annual breaking of the pinata (with the girls watching from a safe distance under Grandma's care)

Here's what the tree looked like after the girls went to bed and "Santa" visited Christmas Eve
L models her adorable new hat (while mesmerized by Thomas the Tank Engine on TV)
Mommy and L sample some Christmas morning cinnamon rolls

N enjoying her new Calico Critters bedroom set
L gets REALLY excited about her new Thomas PJs (thanks Uncle Zach!)
Opening gifts (the entire process took us until after 12 noon)
L makes a scarf out of some packaging material
New books!!
L takes a break from opening gifts for a story with Grandpa
If you know my sister, you'll understand why this is so funny :)  Love you, Beth!!!
N enjoys stories with Daddy while L focuses on the bead maze (a big hit)
While the fam was around, we did a nightly carol sing instead of story time before bed.  Here are the girls "on stage" leading the singing of the carols
The house is quiet now as the girls are with Grandma & Grandpa in CT for a few days.  Mommy and Daddy have a list of items to do before baby comes, so we'll be working on that... and resting... and maybe blogging a bit too.  Stay tuned.

Happy New Year, if I don't see you before then!!

  1. what fun pictures... Nathan and I are quite taken with the mini version of the IKEA chair that's perfectly kid-sized... we didn't know they made one like that!

Is N taking violin lessons? she sure looks cute with a violin in her hands!

  2. Thanks Sarah! We love our little mini "poang" chair... and the girls do too!

No lessons for N yet... perhaps soon though. She's quite interested!
