What's Going On?
Here's what's been going on around our house:
L took her first steps on Sunday! I have video footage of the event, but since my laptop is on the fritz, my video editing software is also on the fritz, so I'll have to post that a little later. But... it's official... we have two walkers on our hands. Crawling is still the method of choice for L, but she's improving her walking skills quickly. She was toddling around quite a bit today at library story time.
This week has been chilly, rainy and cloudy, so in lieu of time outdoors, N has been doing lots of artwork. Here are a couple favorite pictures:
I liked this one because it was a combined effort. I was instructed to draw Daddy and N at the beach. When I was almost done drawing N, she announced that she was going to draw her head with a ponytail. Then she drew L to the right, "dipping her toes in the water." The sun and the moon above were both drawn by N.
It's so neat to watch her emerging creativity!

The picture above is a family portrait. I thought I would include this because it's the first picture N has drawn in which we have legs. "Daddy" (the tallest figure on the left) has legs that are "kind of striped" according to N's description. N is on the right (the one with legs and ears) and Mama is in the middle with the star-shaped eyes. You can see my two little feet below my head if you look closely. L is the floating empty head above us.
