Today's Funny Quotes

N has started to become very particular about what she wears.  She has a Star Wars shirt that she asks to wear pretty much every day.  It has an x-wing (I think that's what it's called) on the front, so she calls it her "plane" shirt.  This morning L had a poop blowout in her pajamas while we were eating breakfast.  Since I didn't have any clean L clothes downstairs, I asked N if she minded her little sister borrowing some clothes for a few minutes.  N, being the helpful older sister that she is, said "Okay."  I pulled out a pair of N's jeans (which fit L surprisingly well... this baby is a growing girl!) and discreetly tried to put the Star Wars shirt on with the jeans.  N saw me out of the corner of her eye and immediately put her hand up.  "NOT my plane shirt."  I pulled out a different sweater of N's and put it on L, and N never said a word.

N normally uses toddler toothpaste, which is safe to swallow.  This morning as I was brushing my teeth she ran into her room, returned with her toothbrush, and asked for the 20th time to try some of Mommy and Daddy's toothpaste.  I figured it was worth a try, but I gave her a little lecture about how it's important not to eat the grown up toothpaste, because it can make you sick in your tummy.  I explained that that was why Mama spits out her toothpaste into the sink.  I made her promise that she would spit it back out, and not swallow it.  She eagerly agreed.  I put a tiny amount of toothpaste on her brush and she began brushing, then almost immediately swallowed.  In an attempt to get her to catch herself before completing the swallow, I quickly said, "No, no!!  Don't eat it!!"  She looked at me, her eyes widened, and she said in a very sad voice, "I'm sick!!"

L tried her first solid foods last week.  Rice cereal... she's not a big fan.  I've been trying to get some pictures of the faces she's making, because they are pretty hilarious (poor girl), but since she usually kicks her legs and bounces around at the same time, they have all turned out blurry.  We tried bananas this week and they went over much better.  Big girl!!  Hopefully pics will be coming soon.
